Mark Calway: For the purpose of this blog I will just focus on my entomological interests. For reasons that I do not know or understand, I seem to have been born with an interest in the smaller creatures. This interest began to become quite clear at around the age of 5 or 6, and then continued to develop into what some might call an obsession. My interest and fascination in observing, rearing and studying insects - and particularly butterflies and moths - has continued throughout my adult life. In fact it is so much a part of me, that if ever my interest wanes it is a strong indicator that I am unwell in some way.
